The wandering Kiha (played by Take Sakamoto) travels across the country with his theater troupe, and this time they arrive in a rural village. Their performances are quite popular locally; however, bad weather leads to several days of continuous rain, causing their shows to be canceled. While everyone else is bored and waiting out the days, Kiha seems unfazed. He goes out every day just to see his old lover's son, Nobukichi, whom she had for him. Nobukichi is unaware of this uncle's true identity and treats him with respect, leading to a harmonious relationship. During this time, the wandering Kiha gradually finds a sense of home. However, his dedication to spending time with his son arouses suspicion and jealousy from his lover, the actress Sumiko. Sumiko sends a young actress, Shuko, to seduce Nobukichi, attempting to destroy Kiha's modest happiness... This film is the second in the Kiha series.
