During his childhood, his family fell apart, and after growing up, he had a strained relationship with his mother (played by Hiroko Yakushimaru). Wandering aimlessly in society, the unemployed young man Yasuyuki Hasebe (played by Kazunari Ninomiya) finally managed to find a job. However, on the eve of his interview, he was involved in a fight and accidentally fell while escaping, resulting in paralysis of his lower body, leaving him unable to stand again; a wheelchair would become his lifelong companion. Just as his new life was about to begin, it came to a sudden halt, leaving Yasuyuki in despair. Encouraged by his psychologist Minami Akira (played by Yusuke Iseya), fellow patients, and everyone around him, Yasuyuki actively participated in rehabilitation training and gradually regained hope in life, with fate smiling upon him once more... This film is adapted from the autobiographical work "Counseling of Life" by psychologist Taizo Hasegawa.
