Kazuya Shiraishi will adapt and film the topic novel "The Disease of Death Penalty" by Riu Kushiki. Takashi Abe and Kento Okada star! The story follows Masaya, who did not get into his ideal university, receiving a letter from a death row inmate. The inmate, Ichimura, has been involved in 24 murder cases, with 9 already prosecuted. While waiting for execution, Ichimura claims to have committed crimes in the city where Masaya lives, but insists that the last case was a miscarriage of justice and hopes Masaya can help him investigate. Thus, the story begins. Takashi Abe plays the murderer Ichimura, and Kento Okada plays Masaya. The film is set to be released in Japan in 2022.
