Hansen (Kevin Bacon) is a conservative columnist, known for his handsome appearance and eloquence. He acts like a playboy, charming everyone around him. Blair (Elizabeth Perkins) is a liberal columnist whose views on relationships are unwavering and eternal. These two individuals, as opposite as positive and negative charges, work together at the Sun newspaper, where they naturally have opposing opinions on everything, from major life views to everyday trivialities. When their "fame" reached the local TV station, the station decided to create a special program for them, where they could express their opinions on current events from their own perspectives. At first, the studio was filled with a strong atmosphere of conflict, but over time, Hansen and Blair both found that the other was not as incomprehensible as they had imagined.
