Due to work, Nick divorces his wife and his daughter Kate lives with her mother. Although Nick cares silently about his daughter's growth and rarely sees her, he covers her living expenses. During a heist, he plans to steal evidence from the prosecution office to use against corrupt police officers and provides information to a theft gang led by Alexander. Misfortune strikes when Alexander and his crew are killed after the robbery, making Nick the prime suspect. When Nick learns that he might be hunted down, he buys insurance to secure his daughter’s future, naming Kate as the beneficiary. Indeed, Nick is pursued by Alexander's father, Victor. He struggles to flee with his daughter but also builds a bond with her along the way. Meanwhile, Detective Kidd leads his team to investigate the case, and the truth gradually surfaces: Kidd and his team were the ones who killed Alexander, and they are the corrupt police about to be prosecuted. Nick and his daughter devise a plan to bring the true culprit, Kidd, before Victor. Ultimately, Kidd dies, and Victor and his gang are prosecuted. Cleared of his wrongful accusations, Nick walks down the street with his daughter, enjoying life under the sun.
