In 1950, Yamamori Group's small head Miho Mangikobu (played by Bunta Sugawara) ambushed the leader of a rival gang and was sentenced to 11 years in prison. During his incarceration, as Japan's economy recovered and the Korean War broke out, the Yamamori Group continued to grow, dividing internally into three factions: Yamamori, Aoki, and Namba. To expand their power, all three factions sought to win over Miho, creating an undercurrent of tension beneath a facade of harmony. A few days after Miho's parole, Namba (played by Ichiro Nakata) is murdered, and the mastermind Aoki (played by Tomisaburo Wakayama) seeks assistance from the largest organization in Hiroshima, the Kaizu Group. With the backing of the Kaizu Group and in alliance with Namba's second-generation leader Nozaki (played by Hideo Murota), they ultimately force Yamamori Group's leader (played by Nobuo Kaneko) to step down. Aoki, now at the top, becomes the target of many, including Miho, who is planning a counterattack after narrowly escaping assassination, Yamamori, who is plotting a comeback after being forced out, and Namba's second-generation leader Kan Mitsu (played by Hiroki Matsukata), who vows to avenge his leader. A gang war intertwined with conspiracy and righteousness is about to erupt...
