In Tulsa, America, 17-year-old James has an older brother nicknamed "The Motorcyclist." "The Motorcyclist" is a legendary figure, skilled at fighting and a natural leader of a youth gang. One night, while on a date with his girlfriend Patty, James encounters Wilcox, who claims to be the "King of Fights." Wilcox provokes James, and the two get into a brawl. James is outmatched and suffers multiple injuries, but at this critical moment, "The Motorcyclist," who had vanished for two weeks, suddenly appears, drives off Wilcox, and takes care of James. Tired of his past life, "The Motorcyclist" has severed ties with the mob and becomes unpredictable, yet he still retains significant fame. Due to frequent truancy, James is expelled from school, and Patty breaks up with him. One day, James discovers "The Motorcyclist" in a pet shop, where his brother points out some red and blue Siamese fighting fish and tells him: if these fish are kept in a closed container, they will kill each other until death. "The Motorcyclist" wants to take the Siamese fighting fish to the river to release them so they won't harm one another. But just as he reaches the river, he is shot dead by the police. Following his brother's final instructions, James takes the Siamese fighting fish, rides on his motorcycle, and heads towards the sea.
