Shy 13-year-old boy Alex (Evan Witten) flies from Kansas City to Mexico to meet his extended family for the first time. There, he encounters his grandfather Chava (Demian Bichir), a former wrestling champion, his energetic and wrestling-obsessed cousin Mimo (Nicolas Beldugo), and his bold and fashionable cousin Luna (Ashley Ciarra). Just as Alex begins to integrate into his new surroundings, he discovers a mysterious creature in his grandfather’s cabin: a young Chupacabra. Alex has seen this creature in stories depicting the terrifying adult Chupacabra, rumored to prey on farmers' livestock. He soon learns that his new friend “Chupa” shares a hidden history with his family, while a stubborn and dangerous scientist, Richard Quinn (Christian Slater), is on the hunt for the misunderstood creature, attempting to exploit its powers. To protect Chupa from the impending danger, Alex embarks on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that will deepen his bond with his new family members and teach him that life is better when you don’t have to bear its burdens alone. This film, "My Vampiric Monster Friend," is directed by Jonas Cauron (Desperate Desert) and produced by Chris Columbus, Michael Barnasen, and Mark Radcliffe of 26th Street Pictures (Saving Christmas), capturing a nostalgic journey that depicts myth, memory, and the creation of personal legends.
