Ten-year-old girl Lee Shan (played by Choi Soo-young) faces isolation and bullying at school by a group of girls led by Paula (played by Lee Soo-jin) due to her family's poverty. On the eve of summer vacation, Lee Shan encounters a new student, Han Ji-ah (played by Seo Hye), in the school corridor after class. Although they have just met, the two girls quickly become good friends, and Lee Shan even invites Han Ji-ah to stay at her home. Han Ji-ah lives with her grandmother in a luxurious house. Despite having plenty of pocket money and stylish phones, she clearly does not enjoy this lonely life. The days spent running through the streets with Lee Shan become her most cherished memories. However, not long after, subtle cracks appear in the friendship between the two girls, which intensify after Han Ji-ah meets Paula.
