The plot describes how Haruko Anzan, a single office worker living in the suburbs, suddenly goes missing, leading to various incidents in the neighborhood. The story will intertwine two timelines before and after Haruko's disappearance, exploring the lives of contemporary Japanese women through three generations: a 28-year-old woman, a 20-year-old woman, and a female high school student. The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Mariko Yamauchi and is directed by the emerging director Daigo Matsui, known for “Daily Lives of High School Boys.” Both Aoi Yu and the director are turning 30 this year, and their first collaboration at this stage of life will jointly explore the psychology of women in their late 20s.
