Hillary (played by Rachel Griffiths) and Jacquelyn (played by Emily Watson) are two deeply bonded sisters. Older sister Hillary has a talent for playing the flute, while Jacquelyn, seeing her sister receive many honors, is determined not to fall behind. After hard practice, Jacquelyn also makes significant progress with her cello. In a competition, both sisters win first place, but Hillary begins to feel jealous of her sister.
