Once upon a time, a fire pillar from the Fire Tribe and his pregnant wife, Flow, left their hometown and traveled across the ocean to start a new life in Element City. After years of hard work, the grocery store run by the fire pillar thrived, but he began to contemplate passing the shop to his cheerful and passionate yet hot-tempered only daughter, Ember. While preparing for a promotional event alone, a plumbing mishap in Ember's basement leads her to meet a young water person named Wade. Wade is empathetic and kind, but as a city government inspector, he must issue a fine to the shop. However, this store embodies all of Ember’s father’s hard work!
