The escapee “female scorpion” Nami Matsushima (played by Meiko Kaji) is recaptured by police officer Takeshi Kodama (played by Toshiyuki Hosokawa). While being transported back to prison, the police car gets into an accident, allowing Nami to escape once again. Injured in the accident, she hides in a midnight cinema, where she meets lighting technician Yasuo Kudo (played by Masakazu Tamura). Kudo was once a radical student activist, and his foot was injured by the brutal officer Kodama, leaving him with a deep-seated hostility towards the police. Two lost souls find solace in each other and gradually develop feelings. Kudo's lover (played by Yayoi Watanabe) becomes jealous and informs Kodama, leading to a harsh interrogation of Kudo. After being released, Kudo and Nami unite to seek revenge against Kodama, escalating the conflict between "police and criminals." Ultimately, Kodama uses underhanded tactics to capture Nami again, and she is promptly thrown into a death row cell. However, this stubborn woman never stops her fight...
