The film tells the story of Ray Kroc (played by Michael Keaton), a milkshake machine salesman who sees a business opportunity after meeting the McDonald brothers, who run a hamburger restaurant, in the 1950s. In 1961, he buys the hamburger chain from the McDonald brothers for $2.7 million and transforms it into the world's largest fast-food empire.
