Martin (Michael J. Fox) travels from his life in the 1980s to 1955. Based on a letter left by his good friend Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) in 1885, Martin discovers the time machine that the Doc invented. Expecting to use the machine to return to the future, Martin unexpectedly finds the Doc's gravestone, revealing that he was killed shortly after writing the letter. To save Doc, Martin travels to the American West in 1885 using the time machine. Can Martin change history and save the Doc's life? Will the two be able to successfully return to the future? "Back to the Future Trilogy" concludes as we join Martin on a time-traveling adventure.
