Lawata Sota (played by Kitamura Takumi) is an introverted boy who, being poor at socializing, naturally has no friends and has been living a solitary life. One day, by chance, Sota finds a box of tapes, belonging to the deceased band vocalist Miyata (played by Nitta Masaki) who passed away a year ago. As Sota listens quietly to the tape, something magical happens: he discovers that Miyata can share his body with him through music, for a duration of 30 minutes while the music plays. Using this opportunity, Miyata decides to fulfill his regrets from his lifetime—rebuilding the band ECHOLL, which was forced to disband. In the process, Sota gradually changes due to Miyata's cheerful personality, becoming more open and bright. Miyata hopes to attract his former lover Murase (played by Kubota Sayu) back to the band with the music he composes, while Sota finds himself developing feelings for Murase against his own will.
