In an ordinary high school, Class 1-B is about to welcome spring break. The carefree students are making a racket, unaware that a storm stretching over several months is approaching. The homeroom teacher, Yuko Moriguchi (played by Takako Matsu), completely ignores the chaos and quietly makes her final confession to the students. As a single mother, she raises her beloved daughter (played by Mana Ashida) alone, but her daughter ultimately drowns in a swimming pool. The police deem it an accident, but Moriguchi believes her daughter was killed by two students in her class. She subtly accuses Culprit A and B, announcing her intention to take revenge in her own way. After this, Moriguchi resigns from her teaching position, and the students of Class 1-B nervously approach spring break. As the new semester begins, a brutal storm targets this group of ignorant and fearless teenagers... This film is adapted from Kanae Minato's original work and became one of the top ten films of 2010, winning four awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Editing at the 34th Japan Academy Prize.
