For a long time, great war stories and magical legends have been passed down through generations, thriving endlessly in the mysterious Scottish Highlands. Disney∙Pixar's heartfelt creation, the magnificent story of brave Merida fighting against traditional constraints in pursuit of freedom and changing her destiny, has arrived. Merida is the eldest daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor; she is an exceptional archer and has a rebellious spirit. "Brave" tells her adventure story.
In order to carve out her own path in life, Merida rejects the ancient tradition considered sacred and inviolable by the three clan leaders (Dingu, McGuffin, MacIntosh). Merida's recklessness brings chaos and disaster to her kingdom when she seeks help from a witch in the forest, only for the witch to cast a disastrous curse.
The subsequent calamities force Merida to use all her wits—including her triplet brothers—to help her lift the curse and discover the true meaning of courage.
Directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, and produced by Katherine Sarafian, "Brave" is filled with legendary adventures, creating classic characters, and, of course, the much-anticipated Pixar humor beloved by fans around the world.
