A painter arrives at a remote mountain village, attempting to end his life. He takes shelter in the home of an elderly woman at the top of the mountain. The face worn by the ravages of time does not diminish the old woman’s vitality; in this wild mountainous area, her frail body still blossoms brilliantly. The ending is shocking: the feeble life ultimately cannot be extinguished; while those full of vigor suddenly meet their end in an accidental tragedy... This seems reasonable yet unexpected; life is inherently so fragile.
