Since the chaos of Jurassic World, a variety of dinosaurs have roamed freely on Isla Nublar for three years. However, the island is experiencing frequent volcanic activity, with the danger of eruption looming. Claire Dearing (played by Bryce Dallas Howard), an advocate for dinosaur protection, is invited by Benjamin Lockwood. Benjamin and his associate Eli Mills (played by Rafe Spall) hope that she and a team of specialists can travel to Isla Nublar to rescue the dinosaurs and relocate them to a new habitat. Infected by the cause, Claire manages to enlist Owen (played by Chris Pratt) to accompany her, as Owen hopes to save his trained velociraptor Blue. Upon stepping foot on the isolated island, they discover that things are not as simple as they seem. The volcano is restless and ready to erupt, while a sinister conspiracy brews in the chaos…
