A biographical film about the controversial and groundbreaking comedian Lenny Bruce, tracing his anti-establishment political views throughout. The film employs a non-linear narrative, telling the life of comedian Lenny Bruce from the perspectives of his mother, wife, and manager. In Lenny Bruce's early years, before he became famous, he was just an ordinary comedian who fell in love with a stripper named Honey. Despite the objections of his manager Artie and mother, Lenny insisted on marrying Honey and clashed with his boss over his desire to perform in his own style, resulting in his dismissal. At this time, Honey was hospitalized due to an injury, and during his visit, Lenny had a flirtatious encounter with a nurse, which led to a quarrel with Honey when she found out. Later, they moved to California. Although Lenny strongly opposed it, Honey returned to her old profession as a stripper. Lenny became addicted to drugs, while Honey gave birth to a child, leading to frequent and intense arguments between them over drug use. A year after the child was born, they separated. Honey was arrested due to drug trafficking allegations.
