The film is told from the perspective of Juna (Natasha Lyonne), showcasing the happy pursuit of true love by the members of a large family. The soon-to-be brother-in-law, Holden (Edward Norton), has been looking for a chance to propose to his romantically inclined cousin, Skyler (Drew Barrymore), who seems to be infatuated with a convicted criminal named Feli (Tim Roth).
