The world's largest statue of Jesus is under construction at the edge of the city, and the life of the male protagonist, Jacek, is completely derailed after he becomes disfigured from a workplace accident. Polish media eagerly follows the developments, as Jacek becomes the first person in the country to undergo skin graft surgery.
