Naruumi Shou (played by Tomohisa Yamashita) is a young associate professor of psychology at a university. One day, his ex-girlfriend (played by Fumino Kimura), with whom he was in a long-term relationship, walks into his classroom and asks for his help in investigating a recent case involving her younger brother, a police officer named Anzuki Yoshito (played by Yosuke Asari). Recently, a deaf man named Yagami Keisuke (played by Eiichiro Funakoshi) was arrested by the police on suspicion of arson, but he remains silent during the interrogation, leaving the police at a loss. They can only break into his home to search for evidence of the arson, only to find a girl locked away in a hidden room. In an effort to help the girl overcome her psychological barriers and speak, Naruumi tries to communicate with her and open her heart. However, during their unstable communication, a woman claiming to be the girl's mother, Ayako Sedai (played by Mari Hoshino), appears. Behind the hesitation to speak and the silence, what truths lie hidden?
