Danny (Val Kilmer) once had a happy family, deeply in love with his wife. However, misfortune struck this family when Danny's wife was killed by a drug dealer, and Danny became a witness to this tragedy. Fueled by anger and despair, Danny vows to take revenge for his wife. He travels to the infamous Sutton Bay in Los Angeles, a hub for drug dealers and the mob, where the people he wants to kill are located. Danny goes undercover as a police informant placed within the drug trafficking gang. During his pursuit of vengeance, Danny gradually loses himself and begins to question the meaning of everything he is doing, with the only thing keeping him going being the gentle face of his wife. Additionally, Danny has a musical dream; he carries a trumpet with him, playing the melody of his destiny.
