Directed by George Stevens, this film runs for over two hundred twenty minutes and is considered the longest of its genre, as well as the most expensive production depicting the life of Jesus. The plot tells the story of Christ from his birth to his crucifixion. The film features spectacular scenes, but unfortunately, the pacing is too slow, and the narrative does not flow smoothly, making it quite tedious. A large cast of stars including Max von Sydow, Carol Baker, and others deliver good performances.
