While his wife is on vacation, husband Richard Sherman (Tom Ewell) meets his neighbor from the third floor, a television commercial star (Marilyn Monroe), due to an incident involving a flower pot. Her doll-like beauty captivates this married man, and at a party, he makes an inappropriate move while sitting next to her as she plays the piano. Afterwards, Tom is filled with deep regret and consults a psychologist, who points out his symptoms and tempts him to pay a high price for treatment.
