In the early Meiji period, the strong-willed Ami (played by Yuki Amami) was sent back home after being divorced and was arranged by her brother to remarry Iwajiro (played by Katsuhisa Namase), the owner of Suzuki Store in Kobe, which primarily dealt with sugar.
