Once the "City of the Future," Lincoln City now has 4% of its population possessing superpowers, most of whom have fallen into the quagmire of poverty and discrimination amid the automation tide, gradually becoming a burden and even a hidden danger to society. Connor Reed (Robbie Amell) is such a young temp worker—facing astronomical medical bills for his mother and drowning in debt, he has no choice but to take risks and confront the cold, unyielding mechanical police force. The film is created and directed by Jeff Chan, with the screenplay by Chris Paré, adapted from their 2016 short sci-fi film of the same name, and produced by the Amell brothers and others.
