Picking up from the previous installment where John Wick (Keanu Reeves) survived a gunshot and a fall from the Continental Hotel in New York, he travels to the Continental Hotel in Osaka to seek help from manager and old friend Koji Yoshimizu (Hiroyuki Sanada). Meanwhile, the new leader of the High Table, Marquis Vincent de Gramont (Bill Skarsgård), is determined to root out Wick. He first deals with New York Continental Hotel manager Winston (Ian McShane) and then coerces Wick's former ally Kane (Donnie Yen) to work for him, swearing to isolate Wick. In order to find a true way out and break his fate, Wick decides to challenge Marquis de Gramont to a life-or-death duel, believing that victory would allow him to finally escape the assassination and regain true freedom; however, he is unaware that the Marquis has already laid a trap in Paris, waiting for him to fall into a death snare…
