Ki-woo (played by Choi Woo-shik) was born into a poor family and lives a dependent life in a cramped basement with his sister Ki-jung (played by Park So-dan) and their parents. One day, Ki-woo's classmate comes to visit and tells him that he is tutoring a rich family's daughter. The wife is a simple-minded and generous woman. Since he is going abroad for studies, he temporarily hands over the tutoring position to Ki-woo. As a result, Ki-woo arrives at the home of President Park (played by Lee Sun-kyun) and meets his wife (played by Cho Yeo-jeong). Soon, Ki-woo's sister and parents also enter the Park family home to work like parasites. However, their ambitions do not stop there, as Ki-woo falls in love with the young lady of the house. As time passes, the hidden secrets of the Park family gradually come to light.
