In a shared office somewhere in Paris, a mysterious assassin (played by Michael Fassbender) waits silently for his prey. He appears cold and taciturn, yet his mind races as he repetitively recites the code of conduct for assassins, as if this could offer him some anchor and peace of mind. However, despite days of preparation, his assassination attempt ends in failure. After the botched job, the assassin swiftly retreats along his predetermined route and, under the guidance of his superior, seeks refuge at his home in the Dominican Republic. Little does he know that as soon as he steps into his own yard, he senses a threat. Previously, two other hitmen had been there and had severely injured his wife (played by Sophie Charlotte). Filled with rage and humiliation, the assassin follows the few clues he has to trace the orchestrators and participants behind the attack. Once a mission fails, there is no turning back; he now understands this all too well...
