With her red hair, the perfect "Fifth Element," Leeloo (played by Milla Jovovich), is sent to Earth to help humanity combat an evil force that arrives every five thousand years, uniting the four elemental stones of wind, fire, water, and earth to repel the enemy. After being recreated in a laboratory, the language-challenged Leeloo escapes from human pursuers by hailing a taxi driven by retired agent Korben (played by Bruce Willis). Korben takes Leeloo to meet a priest responsible for the rendezvous, and the two gradually develop feelings for each other. Leeloo and Korben journey to a planet called "Lost Paradise" in search of the other four elemental stones. However, during a battle, Leeloo is injured and falls into a coma, and due to humanity's atrocities and ignorance, she becomes lost within herself. With the great threat at hand, what power can Korben use to awaken Leeloo?
