The main character Go (Sawada) is someone who is completely obsessed with movies and neglects his family. When he was young (played by Masaki Suda), he wanted to become a director, so he worked as an assistant director on a film set. He fell in love with a girl named Shuko (played by Mei Nagano) who worked in the cafeteria, and he enjoyed conversations about movies with the projectionist Terashin (played by Yojiro Noda).
