Although World War II has ended, the issues it left behind continue to create ripples. The U.S. and Soviet blocs, each pursuing their own interests, ignited disputes on the Korean Peninsula, shattering the hopes of the Korean people who yearned for peace and sought to establish a democratic and free government. The country was divided, war descended once more, and the nation's suffering deepened further. In a village named Raf Bridge, both North and South engaged in a tug-of-war, with the villagers becoming victims in the process of power shifts. The two brothers in the village, Shang Jiu (played by Kim Gab-soo) and Shang Zhen (played by Kim Myung-gun), belonged to opposing camps, and they paid a heavy price for their beliefs... This film is adapted from a historical novel of the same name in South Korea and won the Best Film Award at the 1994 Blue Dragon Film Awards.
