A scandalous case leads to the death of the seductive woman Suzuko (played by Yūko Takeuchi), and her husband Goro Yabe (played by KAN) becomes the prime suspect. Rookie lawyer Emi Bose (played by Eri Fukatsu) is appointed to defend Goro, who claims he was having an alibi that he was actually attacked by a ghost on the night of the incident. Despite being unbelievable, Emi ventures alone to the eerie mansion and encounters the samurai ghost who pressed Goro down—Rokubey Ashikaga (played by Toshiyuki Nishida), a loyal retainer of the Later Hojo clan who was wrongfully accused of colluding with the enemy and executed. Feeling deeply sympathetic towards Goro's plight, Rokubey agrees to testify in court. To summon a ghost that no one else can see, Emi must rack her brains and go to great lengths.
