Since high school, Nagata has been building a theater troupe with friends, serving as both a playwright and director. However, his avant-garde plays receive many negative reviews, and the troupe faces the risk of disbandment. One day, Nagata strikes up a conversation with Saki, who is wearing the same shoes as him.
