The Eight Mountains tells a story of friendship. Children grow into men, and in the process, they try not to repeat their fathers' fates, but the life paths they choose ultimately lead them back to their respective homes. Pietro is a city boy, while Bruno is the last child of a forgotten village in the mountains. As time passes, Bruno remains faithful to the mountains, while Pietro comes and goes. Their individual experiences allow them to taste love and loss, bringing back memories of their origins and revealing the unfolding tapestry of fate. Ultimately, Pietro and Bruno discover the truth of eternal friendship.
