July (Ma Sichun) and Ansheng (Zhou Dongyu) first met at the age of thirteen. One is a headstrong and flamboyant "wild child," while the other is a pure, gentle, and compliant "good girl." From that year on, July and Ansheng were almost inseparable; she was her light, and she was her shadow. Until one day, a boy named Su Jiaming (Li Chengbin) appeared by July's side, and July fell in love. Before departing for Beijing to seek her fortune, Ansheng unexpectedly discovers that a jade pendant closely kept by Su Jiaming has appeared in Ansheng's collar. Ansheng leaves, and July's relationship with Su Jiaming continues. They both enroll in the same university, agreeing to get married right after graduation. However, things do not develop as July had imagined, and her relationship with Su Jiaming changes due to Ansheng's return.
