Ann (played by Carol Lynley) and her daughter Bonnie live a life dependent on each other, enjoying a very close relationship. One day, Ann goes to pick Bonnie up from school as usual, but after waiting for a long time, she still doesn't see her daughter's figure. Anxiously, Ann calls the police. However, after the investigation, the police discover that there is no student named Bonnie at that school, and in Ann's home, there are no traces of Bonnie ever having lived there. Could all of this be just Ann's imagination? As the investigation deepens, the situation becomes even more confusing, and everyone sees Ann as a mentally disturbed woman with delusions, but Ann is very certain that Bonnie does exist.
