Jacques Mesrine was a famous French robber in the late 1970s, committing multiple armed robberies and murders, and he was also a notorious escape artist. He was skilled at disguising himself and mingled in crowds with different appearances, earning the nickname "The Man of a Thousand Faces." After 18 months of a bloody escape, he was shot dead by the special police on November 2, 1979, in Porte de Clignancourt, Paris.
