In order to investigate the mystery behind her father's murder, female detective Natsume Yukihira (played by Ryo Shihara) from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigation Division has never stopped her pursuit of the truth over the years. During this process, danger follows, and she gets closer to a core secret tied to the nation’s underbelly. One day, prosecutor Katsumi Murakami (played by Takayuki Yamada), who had previously collaborated with her on a case, falls to his death, leaving behind a bookmark saying "Unrelated Justice," which was seen in a murder case from a decade ago involving a mystery novel. Subsequently, prosecutor Takebe Tamaki (played by AKIRA) from the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office entrusts Yukihira to investigate the background of the Murakami family, while someone who was supposed to be dead, Michitaka Toadou (played by Koichi Sato), suddenly appears before her.
