Adapted from the commercial radio host Li Wo's novel "Stormy Red Lotus". Faced with the death of her mother, Yan Jielian moves from the New Territories to Hong Kong to seek refuge with her aunt, working as a "dim sum girl" in a restaurant where she meets white-collar worker Cheng Guangyuan. Despite her mother's objections, they marry and have children, leading a happy life, which incites jealousy and resentment in her wealthy cousin Hua Yuerong, who has long harbored feelings for Yuan, prompting her to devise a plan to separate him from Lian. Yuerong's father's company employee Huai De advises her, orchestrating a scheme that leads Yuan to misunderstand Lian and accuse her of having an affair with De.
