Detailed introduction

The story of the Soviet version of "Robin Hood." Because he has access to clients' financial data, the protagonist, who works at an insurance company, can deduce which clients are fraudsters or corrupt individuals. By day, he is a nine-to-five office worker, and by night, he is a "car thief." He "robs and extorts" the cars of those bad people and anonymously donates all the money he obtains to charity. He quickly runs into trouble when his best friend, a police officer, is working hard to catch the car thief... Currently, this is the best work I have seen from Leonid Gaidai, a story of an urban bandit in the Russian version, simple yet clever, with a tight plot and rich characters. The comedic elements mostly transcend language barriers, and the techniques used in the later well-known works are mostly mature, especially the unique three-dimensional use of space in the chase scenes, which surpasses the effects of contemporary Hollywood road movies.
