One day, an armored truck was attacked by a robbery gang, and 260 million yen in cash was taken hostage. During their escape, the criminals panicked and crashed into a large shopping mall, where they took up to 50 hostages. Reiko Usaki (played by Ryoko Yonekura) from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department entered the scene to negotiate with the criminals. Just at the crucial moment, the Special Assault Team (SAT) stormed in, triggering an explosion in the center. Keiichiro Mido (played by Masahiko Tsugawa) surrendered as the main perpetrator, while the other criminals took advantage of the chaos to escape. Weeks later, Reiko reunites at Haneda Airport with Yusuke Kimoto (played by Kento Yamazaki), who was a hostage at the time, and the lingering doubts in her mind give her an uneasy feeling.
