Mark (portrayed by Darío Grandinetti) and Benino (portrayed by Javier Cámara) are deeply moved before a performance. Mark's eyes glisten with tears, and sitting beside him, Benino feels a certain soft emotion strike his heart. What was thought to be a fleeting encounter turns out to be the beginning of a connection between these two empathetic men. Mark's girlfriend Lydia (portrayed by Rosario Flores) was once a professional bullfighter, but an accident during a match left her in a vegetative state. Now Lydia lies in Benino's clinic receiving treatment. Mark visits her every day, hoping that Lydia will wake up. In fact, Benino is also waiting for his love here, having done so for four years. The girl Alicia (portrayed by Leonor Watling) is a ballet dancer, and Benino once lived across from her dance studio, secretly enchanted by her graceful figure. After the girl suffered a car accident and became a vegetative state, Benino speaks to her every day, unwavering in his belief that she can hear him. Both men share the same loneliness and predicament at this moment, and a friendship is brewing. However, it is unexpected that shortly after, Mark begins to receive a series of bad news, while even Benino falls into the whirlpool of fate.
