A boy from Nottingham, Tomo (played by Thomas Turgoose), arrives alone in London, only to be robbed. Homeless, Tomo unexpectedly meets Mark (played by Piotr Jagiello), a Polish immigrant of similar age who loves photography, and finally finds a temporary place to stay. Mark's father works during the day, allowing the two friends to wander around, whether helping Tomo steal clothes, chatting and joking with Mark's crush, Maria (played by Ireneusz Czop), at a coffee shop, or earning some pocket money from kind-hearted grocery store owner Graeme (played by Perry Benson). Life is dull yet carefree, of course, Mark's father is completely unaware until one day he returns home to find the two friends in a playful scuffle… This film won the 2009 London Critics Circle Award for British Young Performer of the Year (Thomas Turgoose).
