Egyptian princess Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella) makes a pact with the god of death Set to become the queen of a united Egypt, but her plans fail, and ultimately, Ahmanet is mummified, dying with hatred. A thousand years later, Navy SEAL Nick (Tom Cruise) accidentally stumbles upon an ancient tomb underground during a mission, awakening Ahmanet's spirit. Returning to the mortal world, Ahmanet decides to use Nick's body as a vessel for Set's soul in her quest to fulfill her ambition of ruling in this new world. To thwart Ahmanet's plans, Nick and archaeologist Jenny (Annabelle Wallis) team up to fight against the army of mummies. Can Nick ultimately prevail and save humanity against the relentless Ahmanet?
