The skull of the Nine Turns Spirit Child from Tibet is auctioned in Hong Kong, and it is purchased by the tycoon Mr. Zheng. That night, a gang of robbers and two small thieves from the mainland, Xiao Jian (played by Xia Yu) and Xiao Bing (played by Zhang Wei Jian), simultaneously break into Zheng's residence to commit robbery, but accidentally trigger the alarm. In the chaos, Xiao Jian steals the Nine Turns Spirit Child and threatens a passing taxi driver, Ah Lun (played by Wen Zhaolun), to help him escape.
