Yotarou Arakaki (played by Satoshi Tsumabuki) is a cheerful boy who dreams of opening his own small shop and works hard to earn money every day. He wants to provide a good life for his sister, who is coming to Okinawa to study. His sister, Koko (played by Masami Nagasawa), is not related to him by blood; their mother remarried Koko's father after bringing Yotarou along. However, Koko's father was a free spirit and left them not long after. Before her death, their mother instructed Yotarou to take good care of his sister, and they have depended on each other for more than a decade. However, good times don't last long. Just as Yotarou is about to open his new shop, he discovers that he has been deceived. His girlfriend's father also prevents them from dating, causing him to face numerous setbacks.
